Pointless doctor's appt.

Went to the doctor's today. He just checked my weight ( I lost a pound!) and listened to the baby's heartbeat with a doppler. He said the baby sounded fine. We then told him that we had already heard the heartbeat. He seemed kind of hurt by it, like he wanted to be the one to let us hear it. hehe. Oh well, Shaun and I are very impatient parents-to-be! We can't help it, we are excited! My next appt. isn't for another 4 weeks (Oct. 28). Maybe I will feel movement by then. I can't wait to feel the baby moving!

Heartbeat!

Shaun and I heard the heartbeat today with the doppler that we are renting. Shaun recorded it, I just need to figure out how to get it on here. The heart rate was 168...according to old wives tales, it'll be a girl.

12 weeks today!!!!!!!!!

The baby is now about 2-2 1/2 inches long. The baby now sleeps, awakens and exercises its muscles energetically turning its head, curling its toes, and opening and closing its mouth. After this week, I am finally out of the 1st trimester. You can't even believe how excited I am. Also, after this week, my uterus will slowly start moving up towards my belly button. That means I won't have to pee as much. I will also start getting my energy back.

So, I am really starting to freak out about things. I am terrified of losing the baby, losing Shaun, losing my parents, losing my friends...just scared of being alone. I had a break down last night. I cried in Shaun's arms for about an hour. I am better now. This morning, however, I am very sick. I think I am going to throw up.

Well, that is all. I have a doctor's appointment on Friday, so I will update then!

11 weeks pregnant!

I am so excited. Just one more week and I am out of the first trimester. It doesn't even seem like I have been pregnant for that long. My nausea is getting better. I don't puke that much anymore. The last time I puked was when I was at Matty and Brigitte's but I think that is because I was sick, not because of pregnancy. I have also gotten my appetite back baaaad. I like have to eat something small every one to two hours or else I feel sick. The baby is bigger than in the picture. At 11 weeks, the baby is about 1 inch long. In this week, the baby will double in size! By the time I am in the 12th week, the baby will be about 2 1/2 inches long!

I am actually starting to crave things now. My biggest cravings at the moment are ice (I heart ice) and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches ( I eat them every morning).

Oh I just feel crappy

Well, I am 10 weeks and 4 days pregnant. The second trimester is just around the corner. I still feel like crap though. I have been watching a lot of this show called "Baby, baby." On the Discovery Health channel. I just cannot wait to have our little boy or girl.

I am so excited for Brigitte. She gets to see her baby via ultrasound on Monday. I can't wait to see the ultrasound pictures!

Shaun and I are going grocery shopping tonight. I am going to make an actual list so that I know what to buy this time. Usually I just go there and buy what sounds good at the time, but being pregnant sucks because I never want what I got the next day.

Also, I don't know why but my appetite has decreased. I hope that is normal.

10 weeks and weird stuff

So, I am 10 weeks today and something very odd happened. Shaun and I were laying down (my head on his chest) and I felt this weird butterfly feeling in my lower right side of my tummy. Now, when it happened I thought "OK most people can't feel butterfly movement until they are 15-18 weeks so I can't be feeling this." I tried moving around to see if it would stop, but it didn't. I know that I am very in tuned to my reproductive system (i.e. I can't feel when I ovulate) but this couldn't possibly be what I think it is, could it? This is just a concern. If it isn't that, then could it be something wrong????

My back hurtssssss

I am going to try and get a Maternity pillow for my birthday because i just can't seem to support my back enough when I am sleeping.

I am so excited, 2 weeks and 4 days until I am out of the first trimester. God, I am so excited.

I am going to be visiting Brigitte this weekend so I am excited about that too!

9 Weeks Today

Today I am 9 weeks pregnant. I wore a maternity outfit today. My maternity outfit is good for all three trimesters so it was a good buy!

Shaun and I went to Columbus yesterday to meet Brigitte and Matty's family at the airport. It feels so good to know that they are safe now. Willow and Autumn are adorable! So are you, Brigitte!!!!

Well, I am going to start making Manicotti for Shaun and I. My newest food craving is definalty pasta. Shaun and I are eating the new Barilla Plus pasta because it is high in Folic Acid and I am stressed that I am not getting enough. That and Calcium.

Family to arrive tomorrow

So, Brigitte and her family will be arriving in Columbus tomorrow. Shaun is asking if it is okay that we are there when they come home. I don't just want to show up if they don't want us there. I just want them to know that I am here for hugs and tears. I am just so thankful that they are okay.

Phones are down

Shaun and I are freaking again. We can't get ahold of Matty anymore. When we try it says that because of the hurricane we can't call. This is more stressful because you don't know what is going on and there is no way to get ahold of them. Argh this sux!
